Directions and Parking

 

The building is in the middle of a well lighted, secure shopping area, within easy walking distance of a number of excellent restaurants. Plenty of free parking is available adjacent to the building on two sides and underneath, as the building is embedded in the mall parking garage's northeast corner, directly across the street from Ikea.

 

The Colony Theatre is "freeway close" as it is right off the I-5 freeway. Many people prefer to use only freeways to reach us; however there are more direct street routes from certain areas (see below).

 

Once you arrive at the Mall

 

Enter the parking garage on Third Street, between Cypress and Magnolia. (The sign says "East Garage, 501 N. 3rd Street" and is located next to Burlington Coat Factory) You will be on level 4, which is the one you want. Follow the signs to the Colony Theatre that you will see overhead. Drive to the end of the aisle and make a right. Drive to the end of that aisle and make another right.The theatre entrance is at Section 4e, in the northeast corner of the garage.

 

When you leave the Theatre

 

To go north on the I-5: Exit the parking garage turning right onto Third Street, left on to Magnolia, left onto Glen Oaks, left onto Cypress, right onto Third Street, left onto Burbank Blvd, right onto San Fernando Road and left onto the 5 North onramp.

 

To go south on the I-5: Exit the parking garage turning right onto Third Street, then turn right on Verdugo Road. This street will become Front Street. Pass under the freeway. Turn right onto the 5 South onramp.

 

To go west on the I-134: Exit the parking garage turning right onto Third Street, right onto Magnolia, left onto Victory, then right onto the 134 West onramp.

 

Here are some specific instructions from various parts of Southern California

 

From the I-5 Freeway

Take the Burbank Boulevard Exit. If you are coming from the North, turn left onto Burbank Boulevard. If you are coming from the South, bear to the right on the off-ramp and then merge into Burbank Boulevard. Go two blocks to 3rd Street and turn right. Go just past the first light at Cypress and turn right into the East Garage. Follow signs to The Colony Theatre.

 

If you are coming from the West Side

Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) north to the Ventura Freeway (I-101) east to the 134 Freeway east. Exit the 134 Freeway at Victory Boulevard. Turn left on Victory, and go 2 miles to Magnolia. Turn right on Magnolia and go to the third traffic light at 3rd Street (Mervyn's will be on your left). Turn left on 3rd Street and immediately left into the East Garage. Follow signs to The Colony Theatre.

 

If you are coming from the Hollywood and Beverly Hills areas

The most direct route is to take the Hollywood Freeway (I-101) north and take the Barham Blvd exit. Drive 1/2 mile and turn right onto Barham Blvd. Barham becomes Olive. Continue on Olive through Burbank. After you cross over the 5 Freeway and the railroad tracks, go 3 more traffic lights to 3rd Street. Turn left on 3rd Street and go just past the 4th traffic light at Magnolia. Turn left into the East Garage and follow signs to The Colony Theatre.

 

If you are coming from the downtown area or points south

Take the Pasadena Freeway (I-110) through downtown, staying to the left. Just after the tunnel take the Golden State Freeway (I-5) and follow the I-5 directions above.

 

If you are coming from the San Gabriel Valley

If you are closer to the I-5 then take it following the I-5 directions above. If you are in the northern part of the San Gabriel Freeway, take the Foothill Freeway (I-210) to the I-134 to the I-5, then follow the I-5 instructions above.
